The Silvretta Arena with more than 200 kilometres of pistes is one of the greatest winter hot spots in Austria indeed in the world. Apres ski is amazing. Truly recommended!

Ischgl is among the most snow-sure non-glacial resorts in the Alps. Most of its slopes are above 2000m and the extent of high altitude terrain is unsurpassed in Austria. No surprise then that the season is exceptionally long, and there are few better resorts to hedge your bets on early or late in the season. If Ischgl has one weakness, it is the long runs down to resort.

The ski infrastructure of Ischgl is simply great. The slopes are wide and provide at times scenic views. Ischgl is very attractive for the semi-advanced skier and those who like to party. Off-slope and free-nature skiing is fairly limited. Due to its popularity Ischgl can be very crowded in high-season.

Ischgl is ranked among the top ski destinations in Austria. Have to say I still do not know why. The slopes are nice for intermediates at best. It does not offer much variety, nor very exciting long descends. Ischgl is prone to strong winds and which make the lifts not very reliable. On Alp Trida clouds can result in poor visibility.
The apres ski in Ischgl is very lively, but might not what you are looking for. Many older E-Europeans and Russians. Rather see the Dutch or Germans who are more open and easy-going. The influx of Russians saw a fast increase in prices the last five years. By now it is one of the most expensive skiresorts around. It is not on par with the skiing any more.

Ischgl has it all: high, snow-sure slopes, a superb lift system dominated by high-speed chairlifts, a traditional-style Tirolean village and amazingly lively après-ski. Top bands play at the season’s opening and closing parties and there is non-stop action in between. The slopes suit intermediates best and the terrain park is one of the best in the Alps.
