No waiting at the liftsNo negative aspects!

We had our first skiing holiday in Lech during the first week of February 2008. My husband and I are your typical intermediate skiers but it was our first proper skiing holiday with our kids, aged 9 and 6. The holiday was a massive success and one of the reasons for this was the brilliant kids' ski school in Lech. The instructors were really friendly and spoke perfect English. They take the children for 5 hours each day (10am until 3pm) including taking them for lunch in the mountain restaurants (you just need to leave your child with 10 Euros - we got change!). I was a bit concerned leaving my 6 year old son (who'd never worn skis before) on the first day but his first comment on our return

Just came back from trip #5 to Lech/Oberlech. Snow was great, accomodations at Pension Sabine excellent, food fit for a king ... only complaint was the unprofessional and unreliable service of the Der Lecher Taxi service. Charged more than on the reservation for me and on the following day left my first time visitor in the lurch, forcing him to carry his two bags through the tunnel and over the snow while I was waiting for him at the tunnel entrance to make his arrival a 'treat'. Returning, I used the Zurs taxi and had the car (a new Mercedes) and service that one should expect in a top flight resort town - and at a price less than quoted on my original reservations. The area is a MUST - jus

I have been to Lech/Oberlech for the past 3 years - and leaving again this coming February, 2008. Great snow and ambiance if not the most difficult runs! I fly into Zurich (from California); take subway to Haupbahnhof; take the train (2 hrs) to Langan am Arlberg and have a taxi waiting to drive me to Pension Sabine. GREAT small hotel right on the mountain - you ski down to get on the lift - with usual Austrian hospitality. Manage to 'do' all the surrounding area - truly my ski heaven!
