Ive been skiing at crans-montana for many years now and i can tell you its certainly worth a visit. the area is large, though not vast, and south-facing, so its incredibly sunny. the view of of the rhone valley and all the 4000-meter peaks of the valais, from matterhorn to mont blanc, must be the best in the alps (i compared). although most slopes are intermediate cruisers, there are several spots for good skiers too. plain morte is the most beautiful piste i have ever seen, its very long in a hidden valley, and on both sides you can find great off-piste alternatives (faverges, all the way down to aminona, be careful : avalanches). toula is a great bumpy black run served by a hard-pulling l
