We just had our second visit to Flaine in three years 15 - 22nd March. Once again we had brilliant conditions -- lots of snow. This time we stayed in an apartment in the lower section of the resort right next to the piste. Flaine center definitely lacks style but somehow the austere buildings do fit in with the natural shape of the bowl. As for the views up in the mountains the area clearly boasts one of the most amazing majestic views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks. The great thing about Flaine is the ability to ski in and out from most of the resort. It is extremely convenient. A lot of the runs start out from the centre so it's great if you have kids as this makes it easy to keep
