ust back from week in Obergurgl - clear blue sky for entire week, good quality snow after last fall on Feb 7th. Obergurgl is a good ski but limited ski area - myself and my 14-year-old (intermediate skiers but he's now better than me) had skied virtually the entire area by the 3rd day. Ideal terrain for intermediates for us, but expert skiers might find the pistes a bit boring - the blacks (apart from one on the Hochgurgl side below the "drag lift of death") are really own reds and a lot of the reds are really blues and skiable by all but the most nervous. Queues almost non-existent even in hafl-term week - apart from 9.45-10.00 and 1.45-2.00 at the Gaisberg lifts in the centre of
