I have been going to Courchevel for several years with a fantastic company based in Le Praz (I wont tell you their name as the company is only small and I want to be able to book next year) who provide the best instruction I have ever received (I been skiing for 20 years). The skiing in Courchevel is superb, and never boring; catering for all abilities and inclinations. My 13 year old son skiied the Couloirs (i have no intention of trying) with his instructor and loved it. The resort is constantly being updated with chairlifts replacing most of the drags. I must admit that during the peak periods the wait at the main lifts can be very long, but a good opportunity for people watching. out of

I have been visiting Courchevel for the last 7 years and have never been bored. Usually going on the first week of march, the snow has always been good. Three valleys ( actually 4 ) lift pass is very good value for the amount of skiing to be had. Easy to ski from one end of the valleys to the other and back in the day (don't miss Jerusalem). Courchevel 1850 is a wonderful area to ski; the greens are superb for beginners/improvers and The Grand Couloir is the steepest black in Europe with lots of exciting off-piste easy to access and not skied out quickly (bleeps etc important). If you are looking for a Ski School try Supreme in 1850 they are excellent. The prices can be rather high here and

I simply didn't believe Courchvel could be that expensive... Oh my God - 18 Euro for a pint of Guinness! That said, the resort is everything I'd hoped for. It has that special something, a feeling that's hard to describe. Simultaneously uber cool and utterly ridiculous, you'll spend hours sat in Le Jump people watching: the fashion mistakes some of the super rich make will have your eyes watering. To ride, the place was ideal for a relative newbie like me, with superb mountain infrastructure, although absolute beginners better look elsewhere - the nurseries are too short and are situated an exhausting trek up the mountain. Don't bother with ESF for board lessons as they are terrible ('why do

The prices can be rather high here and so for better value accomodation and food try La Tania; its all the same ski area after all.

Courchevel is the daddy of them all! We go as a group of mad keen intermediate skiers and skiing all day every day on freshly pisted tracks is a joy. Don't think anyone does it like Courchevel. There are 5 resorts and each are great in their own way. If you don't want to spend a fortune DON'T go to 1850 and DON'T eat in Chalet de Pierre (28€ for 2 cokes and a bottle of water - ouch!) We stay in LE PRAZ and enjoy the real village atmosphere and its great bars and restaurant. Apres ski downstairs in the hotel is just sheer bliss! There are 4 superb runs into the village although I would say only 2 are guaranteed skiable for the entire season. Never stayed with any of the big tour ope
