Great nightlife / apres ski with sking that is satisfying enough for an intermediate but also allows the confident beginner to explore much of the ski area. Plenty of restaurants on both sides of the slopes which means not having to wait around for food and beers. Great bar at bottom of slopes at Elisabeth Hotel and also at bottom of slope behind the Trofanna Hotel . Prima gelegen in het enorme skigebied Trois Vallées. Afdeling naar het dorp ook medio maart, bij temperaturen ver boven nul, nog heel goed te doen. Lekker rustig dorp, zonder lawaaierige jeugd en bijbehorende onaantrekkelijke voorzieningen. Heel geschikt voor goede skiers, die gesteld zijn op hun rust.

The local ski area covers the resort of Marilleva (probably the ugliest ski station I've encountered). The skiing area can be greatly increased by buying the extended Madonna pass or the Bretna Skirama lift pass. I would describe the skiing as on the easy side of intermediate with little in the way of real challenge. The area suffers from a couple of bottle necks and old 2 man chairlifts.
