Adelboden is a good choice for anyone looking for an unspoiled, idyllic swiss village. the town has old wooden chalets lining the main street and a spectacular backdrop of 3000 metre high alps, dominated locally by the wildstrubel mountauin. famous resorts like gstaad and wengen are nearby. the ski area is extensive at 1130 km and linked to the neighbouring village of lenk, but it is fragmented into six different sectors linked only by road, which is the main drawback. the geils area…

Picturesque resort, lots to do and amenities all close by, great escalator in the middle of meribel from which you can ski down to the lifts. snow and lifts excellent and great runs which chalenge but are manageable for beginners. a wonderful experience. will go back to explore further.

Visited VT in March (18th - 25th March). The resort is very good for skiing but night life is poor! Too many drunken Dutch guys, so men out number women 10 - 1. If you want a more rounded resort, go for Austria, try Soll or Mayrhofen, the skiing is almost on a par and the night life is far better.
