Serre Chevalier is a great ski resort with very good snow conditions, a large ski area, and a good ski bus system, also free at night. The only negative point is the lack of night life.

Probably the best resort for young people. Because it's not very suitable for families with young people or older people VT is fully geared towards ski die hards and party lovers. VT has several disco's and bars were not even midweek is boring. You'll find lot's of Dutch and Scandinavians here. What more do you want? I have skied in Tignes for two years running and as a ski resort it is definitely my favourite. . I stayed in Val Claret which is an ideal location for exploring the area, and found the variety and snow quality to be first rate. I would have to say the skiing is far better than in Val Thorens as the final runs into VT are quite average and very busy.
